The Woman

Greetings. Thank you for taking an interest in my little blog. For those of gifted with curiosity, I'll just give you some little tib-bits about me, the author, webmisteress, or what have you...
Name(s): GypsySoul (Since I was terribly young, I was fascinated by gypsy culture. Being a yogi, it greatly interested me, the idea of tribes of people leaving India, traveling to and from gifting us with different divination arts & remedies. While so little is known about the culture a lot of it has been romanticized, but alas...I get swept up in the idea), Bhavani (My spiritual name I received during my stay at the ashram. Another name for Parvati, Shiva's consort, Bhavani is the creative force of destruction. I'm rather fond of the name.)
Birthday: August 4th. I'm blessed to share a birthday with individuals such as Carol Jung. But of course I am a Leo! And very much so. In the fact, astrologically, I have Leo sun, Leo Mars, & Leo Venus. The rest being primarily Sagittarius. I relate more to the Sag. side of my nature...but it’s the Leo nature I have to answer for the most!
Occupation: I work personally with individuals, providing therapeutic yoga classes for individuals, who for one reason or another, don't find a group class experience for them. I'm incredibly blessed to be doing something I so dearly love. I also work with ayurvedic counseling & meditation. I'm hoping to go back to school to become a master herbalist. Time will tell.
Spirituality: Fluid. I have a hard time grasping a title. I fear limitation and I am defiantly eclectic but I don't consider myself a "New Ager". In fact, I find the term rather offensive. I have always been fascinated by ancient magical arts (the craft) and the deep connection to the earth, I enjoy the yogic approach to spiritual development, and I find solace in the teachings of the Buddha. Like a person wandering from here to there, I have collected different aspects I like about varying spiritual practices and find it works fine for me.
How I spend my free time: Painting, yogic practices, writing, photography, spending time with my beautiful son, lots of reading, traveling (when I can) and web design.
I hope you enjoy this blog and feel free to send comments or suggestion to me: vanillamoon_2005@live.com
As Gandhi would have liked it...I strive to make my life, my message.
Om Shanti
